The Secrets to Successful Bachelor Party Planning

April 12th, 2010

The days of being a single man are nearing its end. Those long nights spent partying with friends may soon be in the past. Many other things will be just memories, but one thing you can be sure of, the future looks bright because the groom is about to marry the woman of his dreams.

The transition is just ahead. The best man is looking to create the best time possible for the groom and by doing this he must know something about bachelor party planning. After all, the groom has been working tirelessly to make his bride-to-be happy by doing all the little things that make a wedding great. He has tasted cake until his tongue turned color, he has looked through dozens of wedding magazines until his eyes watered, he has done everything his woman has asked of him to the point of wanting to scream. Now it is his turn, and he must hope the best man turns in a winner.

This can be done with just the right amount of effort. First of all, the best man is going to want to come up with a budget for the evening. He shouldn’t have to pay for everything himself. The other participants should share in the cost as well. Everyone invited to the bachelor party should also be a guest to the wedding. This will make things easier when it comes time to send out the invites. Usually this is done by phone, so as to not confuse and make things more difficult on the best man. These numbers can be had by simply asking the bride-to-be. She may want to help in the planning, and if so the best man may want to oblige. The last thing he wants is to make the future bride suspicious and perk her jealously right before the wedding itself. Although every bride has a good idea as to what goes on at bachelor parties, they can’t be sure as to how their man will behave.

This leads us to what type of party is the best man going to have. Is he going to go with the traditional stripper dancing in the living room giving lap dances to all involved or is he going to do something less conventional like taking the best man fishing? There are numerous possibilities, but whatever choice is made should definitely be something the groom loves to do. You can always add a twist, rather than just running out to the strip bar, make it a day event. If his passion is water skiing take him out to the lake or bay and live it up and then afterwards meet up with the rest of the guys for an evening of drinking and lap dances. But whatever you decide, don’t plan on the night before the wedding, this could create chaos. The last thing you want is for anyone, especially the groom to be late because of an all-nighter.

Overall bachelor party planning is pretty easy to prepare for. Just make sure everyone who should be there is invited and that your plans for the groom won’t destroy the harmony between the bride and groom. Make it a night to remember, for this is a send off to a different life, a life you love and a friend who deserves it.
