State Parks Reopen After Assembly and Senate Approve Deal New York State Parks, including Knox Farm State Park in the Town of Aurora, were officially open for Memorial Day weekend after last-minute maneuvering by lawmakers in Albany. The agreement under which the parks were reopened included a shift of $80 million away from the state’s Environmental Protection Fund, as well as the approval of $4 million in new taxes and fees.
